WALL STADIUM SPEEDWAY “BASE SCHEDULE” ANNOUNCED
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Wall Stadium Speedway operator Cliff Krause has announced that the “base schedule” for his third-mile paved oval speedway is now available by visiting the track’s website at www.wallspeedway.com or by stopping at the speedway office which is on the speedway grounds. Krause refers to the agenda as a “base schedule” since he is still talking to many organizations about participating at the track during the 2011 season.
“Since we didn’t sign the papers until January, we got a late start on the schedule,” Krause said. “I wanted to get this schedule out so that our regular competitors can plan their season. I am still talking to other groups about the speedway so our schedule could really fill out by the time we are done with it.”
On track action will begin on Saturday April 2 with the first of two paid practice sessions, while the second practice will be held on April 9. The regular season will then open on Saturday evening, April 16 and will continue weekly through September 24, which the exception of June 18 when the Formula D Drift Championship Tour visits the track. Details about two post season events, the October 22 “Halloween Spectacular” and the Thanksgiving weekend “Turkey Derby,” will be released later in the season.
Wall Stadium’s regular divisions, the Wall Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, Legend Cars and Factory Stocks, will be the focus of much of the regular season action. While each division will be highlighted in regular and extra-distance events, each class will also have a few nights off during the campaign.
The mighty Modifieds will have 16 races on the regular season slate, including spotlight races like the May 28 “Twin 35’s,” the June 25 “Garden State Classic” and the September 17 “JBIII Memorial.” The open wheel Sportsman cars have 19 regular season events slated, including the July 9 “Twin 25’s” and the August 20 “75 lap Championship.”

Special fan participation events, like the April 16 “On Track Party,” the April 23 “Easter Egg Hunt,” the July 2 “Fan Appreciation Night” and the September 3 “Banner Night” will also be offered during the regular season.
Work at the speedway is progressing towards Saturdays April 2 and April 9 when two preseason paid practice sessions will be presented. On both April 2 and April 9, the pit area will open at 10:00 a.m. for racecar inspections; while on-track practice will begin at 11:00 a.m. Inspections and practice will continue through 3:00 p.m. both days.
Once testing is completed, all attention will turn towards Saturday, April 16 and the official 2011 Season Opener.
